Ray Waxman

I am jeopardized by a subtle hum that ricochets from ear to ear, inescapable through presence, lacking language to express when it shifts in pitch. The only translation is my artwork; each piece a projection of my mind, each color louder than the noise in my skull. I bring a looming intangible presence to a tangible matrix; despite the vibrancy I disguise it with. The weight of the world rests upon my shoulders and follows me everywhere I go. Though lacking physical mass, its heaviness involuntarily straightens my spine, even when I try to prioritize my comfort.
